185 contraband alcohol bottles were seized yesterday by the enforcement section of the customs departments.

The seizure took place following a search of a suspicions vehicle which arrived in Malta from Sicily. This was the second operation involving the enforcement section in a matter of days. A few days ago, a Nigerian was arrested after he was caught trying to import a kilo of Cannabis to Malta.

The alcoholic drinks have been kept at customs for further investigation.
