Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando has stated that he will not be contesting the next election on the Labour Party ticket, but he is ready to accept any position that is offered to him by the Prime Minister.

Writing on Facebook this morning, the former Nationalist MP, who was kicked out by the PN in the past legislature, said that he had received many messages of congratulations and encouragement to contest the election.

JPO did not say with which party, but the PN has said that it will not accept him back in its fold and Dr Pullicino Orlando represented the Labour Party at last Friday's Xarabank edition.

He said he is not interested in contesting, but he gave assurances that he will continue carrying out his duties to the best of his abilities in whatever role that is assigned to him by the Prime Minister.

Dr Pullicino is presently the chairman of the Malta Council for Science and Technology.
