Malta Art Events will be presenting a Spectacular Ballet Gala, a night of extravagant talent from Europe’s best ballet theatres, on 30 December at the Hilton in St Julian’s.
The organisers were responsible of the musical Jesus Christ Superstar at MCC in April and Opera La Traviata and The Best of Broadway at Pjazza Teatru Rjal in July.
The second edition of the Ballet Gala will be featuring international soloists like Prima Ballerina Vesela Vasileva from the Bucharest National Opera and Ballet along with her ballet partner Daniel Tichkov. Other artistes include ballet stars Guido Sarno from Teatro a La Scala Milano, Sophie Benoit from The Royal Swedish Ballet and Martin Dvorak with Irene Bauer from Vienna State Opera, and Ballerina Radka Prihodova with Adam Zvonar from Bayerische Staatsoper.
Artistes will be performing famous pieces, among which one can expect the Nutcracker, Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, Romeo and Juliet, and Don Quijote.
The event is supported by the Austrian Embassy.
