The Kennedy Grove will be extended by a further 3,000 sqm to provide more recreational space for families in the future.

This was announced by Minister Leo Brincat who visited the site today.

The extension will include new facilities for children which will replace those who have been removed because they could pose danger to their users, as well as 100 indigenous trees to continue with the afforestation effort in the area.

The area will also be lit at night so that its facilities can be used for longer hours, as well as benches and a gazebo.

Part of the expenses will be born by Transport Malta who will fork out €300,000 as compensation for the land being taken for the widening of the Coast Road.
