Policeman who saved man trapped in a sinking car in Ta’Xbiex wins award

A policeman who saved a man from drowning when his car fell into the water at the Ta’ Xbiex sea front has been recognised as the ‘police official of the year.’

PC 840 Roderick Psaila was given the award during a ceremony held today at the police general headquarters in Floriana.

A number of other policemen were presented with commendation certificates at the Police HQ in Floriana.

A shield was presented to policemen stationed on the fourth district for their efforts in reducing criminality in their district.
