The President of the Republic, Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, this morning started off the harvesting process leading to the citrus festival at San Anton Palace. The festival is to be held in the palace courtyard on Sunday 18 January.
During the launch, Ms Coleiro Preca and her husband Edgar, started off the process of harvesting along with a number of children representing three schools.
Ms Coleiro Preca said that the festival appeals to all the family.
As from today, palace workers, Frott Artna representatives, ELC consortium employees, and volunteers, will continue with the harvesting process.
During the event, patrons will be given the opportunity to tour the palace while also listening to various bands perform and purchase traditional Maltese food.
The festival’s entrance is free while the funds collected from the sale of products will go towards the Malta Community Chest Fund.
