Virtu Ferries Keep It Simple travel policy

Wednesday, 21 January 2015, 19:53 Last update: about 10 years ago

Malta is in the Schengen Zone and travelling between Malta and our closest overseas neighbour, Sicily, should be as simple as getting from Valletta to Pieta.

With this in mind and based on popular requests Virtu Ferries have introduced new ideas to make travel to Sicily as simple as possible. Virtu's KEEP IT SIMPLE travel policy includes:

  • No no-show penalty on passenger tickets
  • No penalties for name change on passenger tickets
  • No penalties for name change on driver & vehicle tickets
  • 2 children under 14 years travel free when travelling with 2 paying adults
  • Heavily discounted rates for commercial vehicles up to 5 meters
  • Commercially registered Land Rovers and pick-ups pay light vehicle tariffs (non commercial use)
  • No charges on change of travel date
  • Passenger mini-vans pay light vehicle tariffs

All you need to board the "Jean De La Valette" to Sicily is a valid travel document to comply with embarkation protocol.
