ARGENTINA-PROSECUTOR KILLED

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina - President Cristina Fernandez makes an about-face, saying she now is "convinced" prosecutor Alberto Nisman's death was not a suicide just days after she suggested the man who accused her of protecting Iranians charged in Argentina's worst terrorist attack had killed himself.

NEW YORK - Federal prosecutors should launch a civil rights probe into the 2013 death of a mentally ill New York City jail inmate who was locked in his cell for six days without care or medication, a state oversight panel concludes in a review that called the treatment "so incompetent and inadequate as to shock the conscience."
