President launches charity campaign in aid of Hospice Movement

On the 16th of January 2015 at the Westin Dragonara Resort in St Julian’s, Her Excellency Madame President Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca inaugurated the SkinCeuticals 2015 Charity Campaign in aid of Hospice Malta at an evening hosted by Persona Med-Aesthetic Centre.

Internationally renowned advanced professional skincare line SkinCeuticals, available locally at Persona Med-Aesthetic Centre, launched a yearlong charity campaign marking the introduction of exciting new product additions to its range.

A total of 20% of all proceeds on the night went to Hospice Malta in the form of a 10% contribution of products sold and an additional 10% matched by Persona. The charity campaign will span the whole year with Persona Med-Aesthetic Centre donating 5% of all its yearly sales to Hospice Malta. This includes proceeds from the SkinCeuticals online shop that has just been launched at www.persona.com.mt.

As part of the same campaign, Persona also made a donation to Prof. Joseph L. Pace, President of the Malta Association of Dermatology & Venereology (MADV), to be used in the MADV’s campaigns in promoting skin cancer prevention in Malta.

The keynote speaker at the event was Ms Lamia Natafgi, SkinCeuticals Education Manager, Middle East. She explained that to maintain and improve skin health, an effective daily skincare regimen must contain three fundamental elements: Prevention, Protection, and Correction. Ms Natafgi also presided a number of training sessions held between the 14th and 16th of January at Persona Med-Aesthetic Centre in Ta’ Xbiex. This provided all members of Persona staff with comprehensive information and hands on experience about the 3 new products that were just added to the SkinCeuticals range. These are RESVERATROL B E a nighttime antioxidant concentrate that helps prevent and repair skin damage, Mineral Radiance UV Defense SPF the new tinted 100% mineral filter fluid sunscreen, and Advanced Pigment Corrector that reduces hyperpigmentation.

The night was characterised by a number of innovative initiatives related to skin health. In-depth skin analysis using the cutting edge Visia Imaging System used at Persona, that provides comprehensive information about the skin’s condition as well as amazing 3D facial scans was extremely popular. Many people also took advantage of the free advice being offered at the custom set-up SkinCeuticals Bar, and the opportunity to sample the unique SkinCeuticals product textures there.
