Hotel Phoenicia's latest support for Maltese art and culture came in the form of a party hosted by the hotel and Teatru Manoel for musicians, media and local celebrities attending the 2015 Valletta International Baroque Festival (VIBF). Hotel Phoenicia has long seen the value in supporting culture and the arts as part of its role in the community, and with a 75 year heritage the luxury 5-star hotel has developed a number of partnerships and relationships with national arts and culture institutions.

Hotel Phoenicia are one of the founding sponsors of VIBF since its inception 3 years ago. As a luxury hotel next to a UNESCO World Heritage City, Hotel Phoenicia's management recognises that the arts are a powerful tool to help society and tourism, let individuals connect with each other and across cultures, and educate and enrich our society as well as international visitors. Hotel Phoenicia have supported the arts sector and have promoted local culture by helping international events like the Valletta International Baroque Festival through a sponsorship.

The hotel also hosted a number of international journalists brought over for VIBF by the Malta Tourism Authority, including Ester Marianne Lindeboom van Berk from Luister Magazine, Séverine Garnier, Chief editor of Classiquemaispashasbeen.com, Katy Wright from bachtrack.com and Jan Vredenburg also from Luister Magazine, amongst others.

All the journalists were very impressed by the festival. Katy Wright writing on bachtrack.com said, "Nestled in the middle of Valletta, the horseshoe-shaped design of the Teatru Manoel makes it an appropriate venue for the festival, not to mention a beautiiful one."

Séverine Garnier, neatly summed it up on Classiquemaispashasbeen.com saying, "What performances! What beauty!"

Hotel Phoenicia hosted the journalists, musicians and executive management from Teatru Manoel to an after-concert reception, giving the journalists the opportunity to network with the musicians and the people behind the success of the festival such as Artistic Director Kenneth Zammit Tabona and Malta Tourism Authority CEO Paul Bugeja.
