In-work benefit scheme applications open Monday for families with children aged under 23

The applications for the in-work registration scheme announced in the budget will open today, the Social Solidarity Ministry said. This benefit will be given to families with both parents working, and with children under 23 years of age. Families with a joint income of between €10,000 and €20,400, and with one of the partners not earning more than €3,000, will benefit from this scheme.

The maximum rate to be paid will be €1,000 a year for each child for families with a joint income of between €11,900 and €17,099.

Families with a joint income up to €11,899 will benefit from rates between €200 and €950 for each child, and those with income between €17,100 and €20,400 will benefit between €190 and €970 for each child.

Single parents who have an income between €6,600 and €15,000 will also benefit from the scheme.

 

Applications can be received in district offices.
