As in previous years, The Palace and The Victoria Hotels have recognized the outstanding performances carried out by their employees throughout 2014. The awards ceremony and presentation took place during the annual general staff meeting held in January.
The management teams from both hotels continuously monitor and recognise exemplary professionalism and exceptional service by non-management employees. The nominees are then judged on their performance over and above their normal job responsibilities, as well as outstanding or extraordinary service provided to enhance the hotels or guests' experiences.
For 2014, the accolade for the best department went to Purchasing and Stores for its full engagement with the hotel suppliers, excellent teamwork and flexibility. It was also honoured for its collaboration between other departments.
Summer Achiever awardsthemed 'Commitment' were awarded to employees who showed positive attitude, dedication to work diligently, and met business needs professionally but consistently.
Winter Achiever awards themed 'Optimism' were awarded to employees who showed confidence and successfully met and exceeded both in-house and external customer's expectations.
