Thirty BOV customers were presented with a €50 BOV MasterCard Prepaid card during a presentation held at BOV Centre in Sta. Venera. They are the winners of two promotional campaigns that BOV launched for the Christmas season and Valentine's Day.

Presenting the Prepaid Cards to the winners, Michael Galea, Chief Electronic Banking Officer at Bank of Valletta said, "We congratulate the winners who are part of an ever increasing number of our customers who regularly use their BOV cards to pay for their day to day shopping, both at local retail outlets and service providers and also when shopping online."

Mr Galea said that payments by cards are becoming the payment method of choice for more and more people. "Our cards are versatile, widely accepted, secure and provide a straightforward and efficient way to pay. Furthermore, through our BOV Loyalty Rewards Programme, our premium credit card holders also benefit from added value  by earning points that can be redeemed against a wide range of product and service offerings including air travel booked with any airline," added Mr Galea.

Mr Galea announced that BOV's cards turnover that comprises payments made by BOV cardholders as well as card payments acquired by the bank had exceeded the €1 billion mark over a twelve month period. "This milestone in terms of cards turnover strengthens our resolve to continue to invest in this business and to continue introducing new services that enhancing our customer proposition," concluded Mr. Galea.
