Agenda Bookshop raises funds for Puttinu Cares

Monday, 23 March 2015, 19:26 Last update: about 10 years ago

Agenda Bookshop has teamed up with local cancer foundation Puttinu Cares to organise Malta's largest book sale at Pjazza Tigné in Sliema.

Book prices will be slashed to as little as €1 and will not go above €20, encouraging people to take their favourite titles home and at the same time, support a noble cause.

"In 2013, the Agenda Grand Book Sale raised €5,000 for Puttinu Cares and we are proud to be working together once again during this year," said Emma Sullivan, Marketing Manager at Agenda Bookshop.

Book stalls will be set up at Pjazza Tigné at Tigné Point during the Easter weekend between April 4th and April 7th, all day between 10am and 8pm, and including Easter Sunday.

"Those attending will be able to browse through thousands of quality books from popular authors and famous personalities," she added.

At this year's Agenda Grand Book Sale, there will be a wide selection of children's books, fiction and non-fiction, travel, business, cookery, coffee table books, educational books, architecture... and much more to discover.

Stocks will be replenished on a daily basis throughout the event, ensuring a varied selection of titles is continuously available.

Agenda Bookshop organised the first Agenda Grand Book Sale in 2008 as part of its strategy to support local charities while promoting a culture of book lovers. In previous editions of the charitable book sale, donations were raised for Eden Foundation and YMCA Homeless.
