Gharghur local council carries out a number of projects through EU funds - PN

Residents of Gharghur are today enjoying the diverse projects carried out by the local council, Deputy Leader of the Nationalist Party said today.  

During a press conference, Dr Beppe Fenech Adami said during this legislature, the council has embarked on three projects funded by EU funds. These inlude the embalishment of Gnien il-Paci, a new building at Gnien tal-Ponti and security measures in roads.

He noted that in the past three years a number of activies have been held – including Il-Mixja sal-Għar, Milied fil Pjazza and Huġġieġa ta San Ġwann.

The new council has recently launched a new website allowing residents to send their feedback.

Spokesperson for Local Councils, David Aguis, said the Labour Party have an advantage in the upcoming elections, but the PN is doing its utmost to achieve good results, with a number of candidates conducting house visits.

Mayor of Għargħur Mario Gauci and PN cadidates for the upcoming elections were also present.
