Many of Calamatta Cuschieri’sstaff will be donating blood, and will this year be joined by staff members from Camilleri Preziosi Advocates in this initiative.

The campaign forms part of the Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities, which aim to give back to the community as well as help people in need. Mr. Alan Cuschieri, Co-CEO at Calamatta Cuschieri said “Approximately 60 units of blood are needed on a daily basis, thus every volunteer counts. Calamatta Cuschieri firmly believes in the importance of CSR and the company will be expanding on other initiatives such as the Investing in Nature Campaign and the Walk for Cancer campaign.”

A normal blood donation gives one unit of blood and people who have suffered great blood loss, may require upto 50 units. One or two serious accidents are often enough to drain blood stocks.

The general public is invited to participate in the blood donation campaign. The mobile unit will be located in Merchant Street, Valletta between 08:30am and 1:00pm.
