Government, for the past few days, has left the Mosta local council without an executive secretary, PN MP David Agius has said.

He said that the Mosta council has had to loan the Sta Venera Executive Secretary. He stressed that this is to the detriment of the Mosta residents. He appealed to government to give more money to councils if they truly believe in them.

PN Deputy Leader Mario De Marco said that he was present during the PN Executive Committee meeting around two weeks ago, where Dr Chris Said, when discovering the name of the whistleblower in the "cash for votes" accusation, said he had received emails from the whistleblower.

Dr De Marco was in Mosta speaking about the local council elections. He spoke of "Isperanza valley" mentioning that the project there, a walkway for residents to use going through the valley, was created by the PN led council.

This projects was made "thanks to European funds," he explained. Dr De Marco also mentioned other projects created within this legislation, such as the Santa Margerita gardens. He said that 18 roads were created under this council.

As for Mosta, "contrary to other villages, the population is growing, currently standing at around 20,000 residents". He spoke of the tourism attractions found in the village, as well as the large number of businesses.

Dr De Marco also criticised the previous PL led council, stating that it caused residents to lose faith in the local council.
