A 58-year-old man from Xaghra has died after being critically injured from falling three storeys in Mgarr Road, Xewkija.

A police statement said the man was doing some plastering work on a private residence at around 11am when he fell.

He was rushed to the Gozo General Hospital where he was certified as being in danger of dying.

A later police statement said the man died.
