One of Malta’s more famous gay couples – Felix Busuttil and Daron Galea – tied the knot in a civil union ceremony that took place on Saturday.

The two celebrated their union with relatives and friends at the Xara Lodge.

Busuttil and Galea are both dancers and choreographers with the Yada Dance company.

Their union came just over a year after Malta passed a bill allowing for civil unions between people of the same sex.

While others rushed, Busuttil and Galea, who have been an item for several years, waited one more year before making their union official in the eyes of the law.
