The Augustinians have come out in support of the Jesuits and against the proposed shooting range at Mount St Joseph, limits of Mosta.

The Augustinian Province, in a statement, expressed its appreciation for the work carried out by the Jesuits at Mount St Joseph, and said they want to defend the principle of silence, which will be killed if the shooting range were to materialize.

It would be a deep loss for Maltese society if the silence at Mount St Joseph was shattered, the statement said.
