A staggering €1,608,024 were collected in aid of Puttinu Cares during a 60-hour football marathon held by the organisation that supports children and even adults diagnosed from cancer.
This year is the 11th anniversary of Puttinu Cares. Spanning three days, held between Friday and Sunday, the marathon saw more that 800 teams challenging one another in a football marathon held at the Marsa Sports Ground.
A fun park featuring Disney characters, martial art shows, magicians and clowns was also set up while an array of local deejays performed during the marathon.
People from all over the world could watch the marathon unfold by means of a webcam satellite live transmission.
