Sirens confirmed their positive spell, as they overcame Valleta comfortably, to reverse the result of the first meeting them. Sirens also went alongside Sliema in the league table, on seven points, but with a game more, as Valletta remained on six points. Sirens began taking control of the match from the second session onwards, after a tight opening period, with both teams very wary of each other.

Valletta opted to leave Dean Camilleri in goal, as in their last encounter, but Ryan Sciortino took his place in the third session, during a four goal spell for Sirens. Daniel Paolella was also missing for Valletta, who also lost Michael Cordina, early on after the interval, with substitution, when the Citizens were still close to their adversaries.

Both sides managed to score five times in their man ups, with Sirens from eight occasions to Valletta's nine. After a tied opening session, Sirens drove forward, and although Valletta twice came back, it was the St. Paul's Bay side who went in at the interval resting on a 5-3 advantage.

Valletta's downfall came after the break, when Sirens opened up their lead with a four goal burst, which had them 9-4 ahead, going into the last period. Valletta again replied to Sirens' two early strikes, but then Christian Presciutti shot home the last three Sirens goals, for a better looking winning score.

Presciutti was the game's top scorer, with six strikes, and two penalties., with Edward Aquilina on a hat trick, all on man ups. Ryan Mock's brace of goals in the last quarter put him as the Citizens' best scorer.
