Valletta made it to the semi finals, after having a tough time against Exiles, who had beaten them the last time they met in the league campaign. It didn't look that way till the end of the third session, when the Citizens had good advantages, but a late rally nearly produced the goods for Exiles, as they battled back into the match. Exiles recovered Julian Rizzo Naudi, who had missed their last two matches.

In teh next period both sides shared four goals, with the Citizens holding on to their two goal advantage, at 5-3. After the break it looked as if Valletta had made sure of the result, with a trio of goals in succession, for a maximum advantage, but Exiles crept back into the match, with two goals in reply, as they put David Abela in goal, in lieu of Ian Bugeja.. The Citizens started the last quarter on an 8-5 lead, but Exiles' Marco Cukkept his side in the hunt, although Michael Cordina scored for Valletta inbetween his two strikes. Late in the match Romain Blary took Exiles just a goal behind, after Valletta's Michael Rizzo was shown a red c ard. Valletta held on till the end, resisting Exiles' final two attempts.

(4-2, 3-1, 5-2, 5-3)

M'Scala had an easy time against a Ta Xbiex outfit, who quickly fell behind, tied the match once, then fell behind once more, and from then on they fell steadily in arrears, as M'Scala won all the four sessions of play, as they pulled away from their adversaries. As in their last defeat Ta Xbiex conceded five goals in a row, in the last session, to lose all track of the match.

M'Scala were helped in their task, when Ta Xbiex's ace marksman,, and the league's top scorer, Adam Maklari, suffered a shoulder injury, in the second session, and took no further part in the match. Added to that Ta Xbiex could only score once from their six man ups, unlike M'Scala who netted four times from seven.

M'Scala's two goal advantage in the opening period was doubled till the interval, when they went in on a good 7-3 lead. Three goals without reply after the break had M'Scala in a winning position, and they began the alst session 12-5 in front. Both sides opted to put in their second goalie, with Brandon Dougall for M'scala and Liam Pace for ta Xbiex, later on.. Mark kallay netetd twice for Xbiex, for a better scoreline, but M'Scala then put in five goals ina row, as Ta Xbiex fell apart, although it was Georg Debono who scored the last goal of the game for them.
