A French man was seriously injured after he was hit by a car in Gzira this afternoon. In a statement, the police said that the incident took place at 3.50pm in St Albert Street.

It is understood that the 25-year-old Frenchman was hit by a Toyota Cami being driven by a 54-year-old from Gzira. An ambulance rushed him to hospital, where he was found to be in serious condition.
