The trailer of the film "By the Sea", featuring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie that was shot entirely in Gozo, was released yesterday.

The film will be released in cinemas in November.

Written and produced by Jolie, By the Sea follows an American writer named Roland (Pitt) and his wife, Vanessa (Jolie), who arrive in a tranquil and picturesque seaside resort in the 1970s, their marriage in apparent crisis. As they spend time with fellow travelers, the couple begins to come to terms with unresolved issues in their own lives.

Gozo’s unique landscapes play home to the much anticipated romantic drama. It was the beautiful greenery of Gozo that captivated Jolie and in turn, lead to the decision to film the entirety of the movie in the stunning valley of Mgarr ix-Xini.
