Air Malta flight to Manchester turns back after discrepancy in number of passengers, baggage

An Air Malta flight to Manchester KM 146 has returned back to Malta as a security precautionary measure following a discrepancy in the number of passengers and baggage on-board. The aircraft has now landed normally in Malta.

The flight will be delayed due to checks.  

Air Malta is launching an investigation into this incident.

The airline gives utmost importance to the safety and well-being of its passengers and crew and apologised to its clients for any inconvenience caused, the airline said in a statement.
