Works of art of 12 inmates at Corradino will be on display at The Malta School of Arts as part of the Valletta International Visual Arts Festival.

Minister for Home Affairs and National Security Carelo Abela said that educational programmes for prison inmates have increased by a third. “Part of the rehabilitation process is allowing inmates to acquire new skills which will make their reintegration into society easier,” he said.

He said that the education facility will continue collaborating with different entities within the educational and cultural sphere to come up with positive initiatives.

At present, over 200 inmates are undergoing training courses.
