During the third day of her London trip, President Marie Louise Coleiro Preca visited Maltese patients who are staying with The Franciscan Sisters and the Agostinian Sisters.

There are currently 12 patients staying with the at the two homes in London.

The President, accompanied by her husband Edgar, talked to the patients so as to find out more about their needs to improve the services offered by the Malta Community Chest Fund.

The MCCF pays for air fares, accomodation for relatives of patients and transport of the patients themselves in London. The President presented a donation to both homes on behalf of the MCCF.

She thanked the sisters for offering physical and emotional care to the patients and their families.
