Missouri man named Bud Weisser arrested on charge of trespassing at Budweiser brewery

A Missouri man with a memorable name might soon be cooling his heels in jail instead of relaxing at home with a cold brew after paying an unwelcome visit to the St Louis home of The King of Beers.

Nineteen-year-old Bud Weisser was cited for trespassing and resisting arrest after refusing to leave when he was found in a secured area of the Budweiser brewery on Thursday evening, police said.

The St Louis Metropolitan Police Department said that police were called after security officers told Weisser to leave after he crashed his car and hopped a fence to get into the brewery before 7pm.

Weisser was arrested and then issued summonses for first-degree trespassing and resisting arrest after he allegedly entered the Anheuser-Busch property, the St Louis Post-Dispatch reported.

The teen pleaded guilty to second-degree burglary in July and was given a five-year suspended sentence in connection with a 2014 break-in that occurred at a gas station convenience store.

He turned himself in after police recovered his DNA at the scene of the burglary following a chase.
