This morning, Mr Edgar Preca concluded his last round of school visits as part of the L-Istrina BOV Piggy Bank campaign, towards the Malta Community Chest Fund.

Speaking to the children, Mr Preca said, "Keep on showing your love towards those that are in need, because this is the kind of love that makes a tremendous difference and may change the world." From October to date, Mr Preca has visited thirty schools around Malta and Gozo. During these visits, all children showed their enthusiasm through activities organised to collate funds towards the L-Istrina BOV Piggy Bank Campaign.

This morning, Mr Preca visited St Ignatius College in Ħandaq, the Primary School in Luqa and the international school at Verdala. While meeting all the school children, Mr Preca thanked the children for the beautiful message they are putting forward, when they are using their time to come up with ideas to generate funds towards the L-Istrina BOV Piggy Bank Campaign. He said that children should keep on using their voice so the adults will listen, because it is their responsibility to listen to what children have to say.

During the visit at Luqa Primary School, Mr Charles Azzopardi, Manager Brand and Marketing at Bank of Valletta thanked the school children for their keen participation, giving something from their own pocket money towards this campaign for the Malta Community Chest Fund.

This year, the L-Istrina BOV Piggy Bank Campaign, with the theme Mit-Tfal b'Solidarjetá marks its twelfth edition. Last year, through this campaign the sum of €67,000 was raised by children from across all public, independent and church schools. Bank of Valletta doubled the sum to €135,000. The funds collected through the L-Istrina BOV Piggy Bank campaign will this year be presented during the live broadcast on the 26th December.
