BOV employees are keen supporters of Tisjir mill-Qalb

Tuesday, 15 December 2015, 17:06 Last update: about 9 years ago

For the sixth consecutive year, BOV employees have had the opportunity to order copies of the popular cookbook Tisjir mill-Qalb. Their copies were signed by the President of Malta, Marie Louise Coleiro Preca.

Over 300 employees took up the offer, and booked their copy through the bank. In two years, the number of books ordered by BOV employees has doubled, said a spokesman for the MCCF. For the first time this year, the cookbook is also available in English. Many have taken this opportunity, though the Maltese version remains a firm favourite.

In addition to this initiative, the bank supports various events undertaken by the Malta Community Chest Fund. The L-Istrina BOV Piggy Bank campaign which runs among all Primary and Secondary school children is a long-standing campaign that this year marks its 12th anniversary.

Bank of Valletta continues to support the community in many ways, firm in its belief that it has an active responsibility towards society that goes beyond the provision of financial services.

Those interested in obtaining a copy of the popular cookbook that this year features recipes created by monks and nuns living in various convents in Malta, may still do so against a donation of €10. The book may be obtained from all Agenda outlets, Scotts Supermarket, the President's Kitchen Garden, the MCCF offices in Valletta and San Anton Palace. Alternatively, one may order it online from tisjir.donate.com.mt or by visiting www.mccf.org.mt
