The group is visiting schools across Malta over a period of 3 days. They were today greeted by Parliamentary Secretary for research, innovation, youth and sport Chris Agius and students from the Bormla middle school at the Santa Margerita College.

During his address, Mr Agius said that Malta should serve as an example for other countries, not just for out peaceful environment, but also for the hospitality that the Maltese are famous for.

The main goal of the school visits which are taking place in over 100 countries around the world is to spread the message of peace and tolerance, in particular the message of diversity. The organisers have emphasised the fact that living together in harmony is possible even when taking our various differences into considerations.

This morning’s activity continued at the San Tumas More middle school in Tarxien, the Hal-Ghaxaq primary schools and a number of other schools.

On Tuesday morning, the athletes of Sri Chinmoy Oneness – Home Peace Run will be St Theresa College Secondary School of Santa Venera, the Attard primary school, San Nikola Naxxar middle school, Santa Klara primary school of San Gwann and the National School of Sports in Pembroke.
