A recreational park has been opened in Mtarfa by the parliamentary secretary for European Funds Ian Borg.

The area in question, a popular place for people of the locality, has not only been preserved but has seen an embellishment exercise which now offers various facilities for all the family.

The Mtarfa local council used up €270,000 from funds given in the 2007-2013 European Agricultural Fund for the work to be carried out, Dr Borg said.

Present for the opening ceremony were parliamentary secretary Stefan Buontempo and Mtarfa mayor Daniel Attard.
