On 12 February, Casino Malta held its official Grand Opening Gala. Entrance to the casino during the event, from 8pm until midnight, was open to invitees only. After this time, Casino Malta's doors were open to the general public to join in with the celebrations. Throughout the night the casino was filled with live music, entertainment, dancers and a delicious celebratory cake. 

During the night everyone had a chance to participate in the Casino's first mega competition, where everyone entering the casino will have the chance to win a Mini Cooper on 4 March.
