Police officers to be paid what they are owed for CHOGM and Valletta Summit in November on 24 March

Minister for Home Affairs and National Security, Carmelo Abela, confirmed that Police Officers who worked overtime during the CHOGM and Valletta Summit in November will be paid with their third salary this year, more specifically, the 24 March.

This was in answer to a parliamentary question by PN MP Ryan Callus.

The question was undoubtedly prompted by the Malta Police Association's statement earlier this week warning of taking all necessary action to make sure that officers get what they are owed, keeping in mind that some officers worked in excess of 150 extra hours.
