The Campaign for National Independence, CNI, has urged the Maltese people living in the UK to vote in favour of Britain leaving the European Union in a statement released today.
In a statement signed by former Prime Minister Karmenu Mifsud Bonnici, who is CNI chairman, the organisation said Britain’s exit from the EU will be beneficial to the UK and will not cause any problems for the Maltese living there or Malta as a country.
The CNI, who according to their website, “was, is and shall remain in favour of Maltese workers and against Malta's membership of the European Union”, also expressed its wish for the Maltese to also be given the opportunity to vote to leave the EU.
