Photography has always been an art form as well as a science of great interest. It allows the artist to capture a moment, an instinct or an expression at the speed of a flash. Besides its deep historical importance, photography has really formed a great part of interior design.  Painting and sculpture add interest to any space in a room, and you only have it there because you simply love it, and not for any other reason. Photograph portrays the same personal importance.

What I love about photography is that it is symbiotic. It gives as much as it takes. It is a relationship unlike any other, one formed between the work of art and the viewer. What is it in that photograph that makes you stand still and stare? When one evaluates the work, he is giving it the respect he thinks it deserves.

Respect worthy photography is most definitely that of Jean Pierre Gatt. Gatt was born in May 1973 and has been working in the film and TV industry since 1993. His passion for cinematography has led him to be heavily involved in a variety of documentaries, music videos, and short and full-length feature films for both local and international release. Through the years, Jean Pierre has also produced, co-produced and directed numerous music videos for top local award-winning artists.

His latest exhibition really leads the eye to wonder. "Instrumental" is a truly inspired exhibition, unfolding layers upon layers of innovation. Gatt has now finalized all the images which have been submitted, printed and mounted on ACP. He will be exhibiting these works at Palazzo de Piro during the month of April. The exhibition will open on 5 April at 7.30pm and will run until 30 April.

Here is a preview image from this collection....Can you guess what this is?
