The woman was allegedly intoxicated when she got into an argument with a man at the bar yesterday. The police were called in to remove her from the premises and were assaulted and verbally abused by the woman.  It is understood that the woman was also aggressive towards the doctor who examined her at the Paola Health Centre.

Ms Cutajar was further charged with threatening Dr Mark Grech.  She admitted to all the charges although claiming that she was not drunk.

Magistrate Antonio Vella handed down a one-year prison sentence, which was suspended for two years. The woman was also fined €800.
