A 50-year-old Briton suffered grievous injuries when he was hit by a car in St Paul’s Bay on Sunday evening, the police said.

The driver of the car that hit the man in Xitwa Street at 8.45pm kept on going, the police added.

The man was taken to Mater Dei Hospital where he was found to have suffered grievous injuries.
