29 NGOs to benefit from €682,330 to carry out community projects

In the coming month 29 NGOs will be carrying out 23 community projects after benefiting from funds under the Voluntary Organisations Projects Scheme.

The grants, for a total of €682,330, were presented to the beneficiaries by Civil Liberties Minister Helena Dalli. All NGOs are registered with the Commissioner for NGOs.

The projects include training for immigrants, teaching of music, courses on the environment, sport initiatives and assistance to vulnerable groups.

The NGOs which benefited from the funds are: Write Deal Association, Paulo Freire Institute, St Jeanne Antide Foundation, Foundation for Shelter and Support of Migrants, Move, Aditus Foundation, Spiru Mizzi Foundation, Teatru Salesjan, Malta Red Cross, Żagħżagħ Azzjoni Kattolika, SOS Malta, Third World Group, Soċjetà Filarmonika Santa Marija, Ċentru Tbexbix, Malta LGBTIQ Rights Movement and Fondazzjoni Inspire.
