The Nationalist Party said today that hours after Prime Minister Joseph Muscat repeated a lie about Opposition Leader Simon Busuttil in Parliament, Dr Busuttil won a libel case on the same statement.

PM Muscat, on Wednesday, said that Dr Busuttil had pocketed €1 million in direct orders, and in a libel case made against l-orizzont the court today confirmed that this was a lie. The GWU newspaper was ordered to pay €3,000.

Dr Busuttil welcomed the court judgment, and said that Joseph Muscat and the Labour Party have been repeating the same lie for two years, as they have also been doing about other officials of the Nationalist Party. One by one, these lies are being denied and truth is prevailing, the PN said.
