MP claims government employees are being threatened

Monday, 30 May 2016, 21:18 Last update: about 9 years ago

Speaking on the Adjournment, PN MP Toni Bezzina claimed that civil servants and employees of government agencies are being threatened with transfers, being reported to the PSC, and other measures just because of a comment they write on Facebook.

Not everyone is treated equally in this Malta which was promised that even if people do not agree with the government, they will be allowed to live in Malta. A police officer who passed derogatory remarks on the Oppostiion was given a promotion while an OPM employee, with an office next to that of the Principal Private Secretary can attack with impunity the Opposition.

A future PN government will bring back dignity and will not shut its eyes on what is happening now.

MP Kristy Debono spoke on the traffic changes that have taken place in Ta Xbiex where cars are being made to pass through residential roads with huge complications for all.

No consultation has taken place before this change and even the PL mayor of Ta Xbiex has complained about it.

Lastly, she complained about the increasing amount of cars with a foreign numberplate especially those from outside the EU that one is seeing] around.
