The Department of Social Security will be having a new logo, Minister for Family and Social Solidarity Announced.

The new logo was presented yesterday at a press conference which celebrated the 60 year anniversary of the Social Security Department.

Minister Michael Farrugia said that the Ministry worked with 15 students from MCAST on the new logo and created a board to evaluate the submissions. The final logo which was chosen is designed by Andreas Azzopardi.

At the press conference, Azzopardi explained that he worked on a design that is modern and which reflects the realities of society today. The student will be meeting with the board to finalize the design.

Minister Farrugia presented a small reward to the participating students and the three short listed students were presented with a flight ticket with AirMalta.
