MTA installs ramps and walkways, making Għadira Bay more accessible

Thursday, 2 June 2016, 16:22 Last update: about 9 years ago

Għadira Bay has been made more accessible to wheelchair users after the Malta Tourist Authority installed two new 150 metre long walkways.

This was publicised on the Facebook page of the Mellieha Local Council, where they wrote that “the walkways can be used by the general public and by persons with special needs that make use of wheelchairs.”

In addition to this, the pavements around the bay have been made more accessible through the recent installation of ramps. This will also serve to help parents of young children access the beach, more so with summer 2016 getting underway.

“Blue parking bays will also be painted soon which will directly lead to ramps and eventually to the walkways present on the beach,” reads the Mellieha Local Council Facebook post.
