Carmen Ciantar has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation for Medical Services with immediate effect, the government announced this evening.

Ms Ciantar, who was married to MCST Chairman and former PN MP Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando, had been appointed as CEO of ARMS Ltd by the current administration and as Executive Officer of the Malta Tourism Authority by a PN administration.

She also held a number of managerial roles in the private sector. She had also been nominated to serve as a domestic and international mediator with the Malta Mediation Center.

In 2013 she was appointed to the board of directors of Transport Malta.

Ms Ciantar was also a lecturer at the Malta Training Center, the Institute for Tourism Studies and the University of Malta.

The Health Ministry wished Ms Ciantar well in her new role and thanked outgoing FMS CEO James Camenzuli for his work and dedication.
