People on their way to Gozo today are experiencing long queues as the Gozo Channel’s MV Malita is out of service and the company is operating with just two vessels.

In a statement this morning, Gozo Channel said that at the moment it is operating the service by the MV Ta’ Pinu and MV Gaudos.

Urgent repairs are ongoing on its other vessel MV Malita, the company said. 

This has led to chaos on the roads leading to the ferry terminal as a long queue of cars developed.

The company usually operates a shuttle service when there is a huge demand, but since only two vessels are available this is not possible today.
