(2-3, 1-2, 3-1, 02)

Valletta still keep theri fourth position in teh standings, but now their lead has been whittled down to a single point. The Citizens had fought back, to draw level, after the interval, but Sirens, who had a good conversion rate in man ups, netted their last two, in the last quarter, to emerge winners. In all Sirens scored six of their eight man ups. Valletta's tally was four out of seven. Sirens paid special attention to Valletta's Russian import, Dmitri Kholod, and he was limited to just a single strike, although he also failed in a penalty throw, which was brilliantly saved, by Nicky Grixti, in the Sirens' goal.

Sergi Mora opened the scoring for the St. Paul's Bay side, with Valletta overturning the score, through Ryan Mock and Michael Spiteri Staines. Mora;' snext two strikes had Sirens back in the lead, with Kholod prevented from taking the Citizens to a tie, with Grixti's saved penalty. In the second period skipper, David Cutajar and Zak Mizzi took SAirens to a three goal cushion, with Charlie Zammit pulling a goal back for the Citizens, as the two teams went in at halftime, with Sirens on a double advantage, at 5-3.

After teh break Valletta didn't take much time to draw level, on successive man ups, with Michael Spiteri Staines and Daniel Paolella goals. Cutajar had Sirens on another advantage, but Kholod scored his only goal for Valletta, and the last session began on a par, at 6-6.  Whereas Sirens managed to convert their next two man ups, with Luke Caruana and Cutajar strikes, Valletta failed in their two favourable occasions, leaving Sirens to control the proceedings in the remaining time, and keep the Citizens at bay.
