A Nigerian worker was seriously injured this evening after sheets of glass fell on him while he was working in Kummerc Street, Qormi.

The 48-year-old was taken to hospital where he was found to have suffered serious injuries, the police said in a statement.

Qormi police are investigating. The police said that the Occupational Hea;th and Safety Authority has been informed.
