Italian actress Anna Marchesini has died. She was aged 63.

Marchesini was popular on Italian television in the 1980s as part of the Trio Solenghi-Marchesini-Lopez, three actors who became famous for their comic interpretations, particularly the satirical show based on “I promessi sposi”.

She had been battling with rheumatoid arthritis for several years.
