#4: Increasing mobility through the cloud

The article 'The Best Cloud Storage and File-Syncing Services for 2016' published on PC Magazine, identifies at least nine cloud-based storage services available, between paid and free, which are considered as the best online storage services.

It is good to highlight that the difference between paid and free services revolves around the amount of free space given at your disposal and also around the various or limitless possibilities of making use of your data or information. However, one should consider having a paid service because of the cheap cost and the bigger availability it offers.

With the advent of the Internet, two important factors have forward driven and simplified many processes indeed, namely interoperability and ubiquity. Both of these terms generated an impetus in the easiness and simplification - irrespective of the mobile tool available - and created a seamless approach to information accessibility.

Online storage capabilities are known as 'cloud.' This cloud is ever-present, wherever you go. Consequently, the concept of anytime anywhere is akin to 24/7. Constant availability of one's work allows for freedom of movement, freedom of gadget and freedom of location. No one is bound to anything any longer.

The online storage battle ground is mainly divided into a number of players in the field, namely Microsoft, Google, Apple and others, or MAGO for short! All of them offer high-level services and all are efficient as they declare to be. Without any doubt, the users have a number of advantages at their disposal, starting with the simple fact that, with cloud-based information, there is no need for one's own device; the password will do the magic, as it will unlock the access.

Another advantage of using the cloud for documents or information is the easiness with which files may be sent to colleagues or friends across the world, wherever they may be. The latter advantage can be extremely important where emails are concerned. The use of the cloud can in fact drastically minimize the amount of documents sent through email service.

However, it is good that we remind ourselves that in reality there is no 'cloud,' but the emails are stored on someone else's server, and you may be wondering about security issues. The same goes for your current email box which also lies on someone else's server. Therefore, if you have enough trust for the 'local' service provider, you would better off if you have also trust for the 'cloud server.'
